Because being out of the tennis game doesn’t mean being out of the social media game.

In fact, it might even mean the opposite!

“Just taking a bathroom break”

“did you take your phone with you?”

Brilliant.

New York teenage dream

Leylah Annie Fernandez. Emma Raducanu. Carlos Alcaraz.

These three teenagers brought Arthur Ashe stadium down with their amazing fighting spirit. What a story.

Canadians and maple syrup

One of these teenagers, our Canadian girl Leylah Fernandez, “explained” why Canadians are now so good in tennis! 🍁

(Also, you gotta stan her on-court interviews. So charismatic.)

And of course, Fellow QuΓ©bΓ©cois FΓ©lix agrees with her on that lol and by the way, WHAT A TOURNAMENT, FΓ©lix.

Emma’s dream run

Emma Raducanu sort of showed up out of nowhere at Wimbledon first, reaching the fourth round before retiring from her match. She got the wildcard for a reason, but I don’t think anyone was expecting more than one win.

But now, from the qualifying to the final without dropping a set… That’s a whole new level! 🀯

To even be compared to Serena Williams, wow.

Fernandez mania

Leylah Fernandez has beaten four seeded players, of whom three were inside the world’s Top 5, and two were multiple Grand Slam champions.

No wonder everyone now loves her and wants to watch more of her! Go for that title, Leylah!!! πŸ†

Gaby’s wise words

Gaby Dabrowski has had one of the most awesome summers in Canadian tennis. And that statement is spot on about the greatness of Canada: diversity and grit.

Can’t wait to see you back totally owning the tennis courts, Gaby!

Novak’s quest for… his opponents legs

Everything started with this tweet. Andy Roddick points out how fit Djokovic is, that the first couple of sets are competitive, only for the poor player on the other side of the the to not have anything left in the tank while Djokovic seems to have even more energy.

Djokovic, being who he is, denies the Grim Reaper comparisons… but he won’t deny that during the match, you better be ready to run. πŸƒ

We even have the proof here!

Maybe Maria Sakkari would be the only player now who could stay with Djokovic in a best-of-five format. πŸ‹οΈ

Oh, and just in case it hasn’t sunk in yet what winning all four Grand Slams must look like.

WINS. And add a couple more. Can Novak pull off another two at the US Open? βœ…β“β“
