Ladies and Gentlemen: the future of tennis

Aren’t we Canadians so spoiled to have these beautiful people to call our players?? 🤩

Super cool backstory for Leylah’s dress! Looked great.

And please take a better look at the details on Félix’s blazer. So cool!

Tennis stars at the MET Gala

Other tennis players of course made their way to the gala with an invite from the event’s direction.

And… this Sharapova/Williams sisters photo happened. Looks like twitter couldn’t believe these particular people could ever be friends lol

Here’s the backstory behind it, explained in the first question of the video below by Venus Williams herself. To be honest, it just makes things even harder to comprehend!

Look at this gallery, the US Open champions from four different decades: Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka and the 2021 champion Emma Raducanu!

Gaby just keeps making us so proud

After a stellar summer that ended abruptly for Gaby at the US Open semi-finals as Luisa Stefani sadly suffered and injury and forced the duo to retire, Gaby came back home.

Dabrowski won the title in Montreal and reached the finals of Cincinatti and San Jose, all with Stefani. And, along with the points and trophies, she now has an official day named after her: September 16 is now officially Gaby Dabrowski day in Ottawa!

Congratualtions, Gaby! Hope you can keep inspiring our nation with your talent, hard-work, and kindness. 👏👏

Daniil’s dangerous celebration

Famously, Daniil Medvedev has come up with completely unexpected celebrations for his titles. For the US Open, he did a very Millennial/Gen Z thing, which is pull out a celebration from the soccer game FIFA: the dead fish. 🐟

I hope he continues on for the rest of his career coming up with those…

…But apparently it’s not for everyone. 😂
